Marie Ramparany

“I started competing in boardercross, local competitions in French alps, but dislike it so after 2 winters, focused on my coaching and uni degree only. By that time, early 2000's we were fewer women practicing freestyle in my home resort, 2alps, but I was lucky to be trained and surrounded by former athletes and coach with international background (french team) I learned so much from it. My dad doing ski touring and backcountry with me since I am aged 11y.o. So I am not a specialized rider at all, but I found in freeride a way to express myself on the larger range possible in the mountain. I also really loved feeling by myself once I drop. Freeride always gave me a reminder of my strengh and the will to hold on, even when it was hard to remember.”
